History of Schneider Motors
Mr. Josef Schneider completed factory BMW training in Germany in 1965, came to the United States and opened the first BMW dealer and service facility in Orange County, located at 312 North Anaheim Blvd in Anaheim, California. In 1970, Hoffman Motors Corporation - the BMW importer at the time - opened their regional headquarters near LAX and honored Mr. Schneider with a medal for pioneering and loyalty to BMW.
A few years later he decided to concentrate on service only, and moved the shop to Orange at 807 West Chapman Avenue. Mr. Schneider continued to service BMWs exclusively with his wife and son until the late 1990's. He retired and found someone to continue the business, where it operated in the same location until 2006. That building was then sold, so Schneider Motors moved to a shop near its original Anaheim location, where it was operated for a couple of years until the city took over the property for a new development project. Forced to move, we located to downtown Pomona in 2008 - and continue quality BMW service there in the spirit of the Schneider family.
